Tangled Ever After – What’s The Story?

Following on from the huge success of the Disney movie, Tangled, the Tangled Ever After film proved a huge success with audiences who saw the short film before the viewing of the Beauty and the Beast 3D.

For those of you how haven’t seen it, Tangled Ever After is the story of Eugene (Flynn Rider) and Rapunzel’s wedding.  This is a huge celebration for the Kingdom who not only have their princess back but have a wedding to celebrate or as Rapunzel and Eugene call it ‘the biggest shindig the kingdom has ever seen’.

All the plans go really well, the kingdom looks fantastic and Rapunzel is a very beautiful bride.  All the usual suspects are in attendance, the King and Queen, the thugs the Stabbington Brothers, the drunk old man, Pascal as ‘flower girl’ and Maximus as the ‘best man’.

It looks like it will be the perfect wedding but …….

I won’t spoil it for those who have not seen the film but trust me when I say you won’t be disappointed.  Lets just say Pascal and Maximus have a hard time looking after the wedding rings!

Tangled Ever After Rapunzel Wedding DollFirst to mention is the very exclusive Limited Edition Tangled Ever After Rapunzel Wedding Doll.  This doll is absolutely stunning and even more unusual it shows Rapunzel with her short brown hair.  Everything is a replica of the movie including her stunning wedding gown.  The detail is the ivory, purple and gold dress is so intricate and delicate this is sure to be a huge collectors item.

She is a little taller than most Disney dolls standing a 17″ high.  But really this only makes the doll even more impressive.  If you do collect Disney dolls such as the Disney Princess Designer Dolls then this will be a fantastic addition to you collection .

Rapunzel comes with a display stand and a Certificate of Authenticity.  With a global edition release of 8000 I would make sure you place your order fast.  The doll is due to be relaxed on 28 March 2012 but you can pre-order now to avoid disappointment when she sells out.

Most beautiful costume!

The Rapunzel wedding dress is the most beautiful costume I’ve seen. I bought it for my daughter today and the detail is just amazing. It is literally like a real wedding dress. The material is similar to adult gowns. I walked away at first, due to the price, but went back because I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I know my younger daughter will wear it eventually and the dress appears to be such high-quality that I know it will last through 2 children.

 This Gown is Phenomenal

Being a costume maker and a sewer, I can really appreciate the design of this gown. The execution was flawless. The fabric is soft yet heavy, but not to an overwhelming extent. The glitter actually stays in place, unlike a lot of other dresses. The gown is lined to prevent excessive itchiness. By far, this dress is one of the best, if not the best dress I have ever seen at the Disney Store. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to get something lovely for their little princess!

“Daddy, this dress is stunning!”. These were the words of my 6-year old daughter the night that she saw this dress. And, I absolutely agree with her. The dress is just that – stunning. The dress has noticeable weight to it, but not to the point of discomfort; the weight is a testament to the quality of the material. It is completely lined and not at all itchy as so many other dresses are. The detail is unmatched – the glitter on the train and the embroidery in the gown are both just amazing. Perhaps most important, it has that perfect twirl factor – parents of girls know how important it can be that the dress allows for those picture-perfect twirls, and this one does not disappoint ;) While the dress might come with a price tag that makes you initially say “but it’s for dress up”, this is certainly not the case. It is truly a collectors piece that your daughter will wear and you will both treasure for ever. The value of the dress far exceeds the cost – you can put a price tag on precious memories.

The dress is part of the Limited Edition Rapunzel Wedding Collection featuring the Rapunzel Hair Piece with Golden Braid, the Wedding Costume Accessory Set including the veil, ring and bouquet and last but not lease the Wedding Shoes.  All little girls will love this set.  Yes, it is expensive there is no getting away from that fact but you are getting a lot for your money.

And I can only imagine the pleasure and happiness my little girl will get from such a set.  My youngest daughter who is five loves to dress-up, any excuse birthday parties, non-uniform day a school, playing in the house or garden, trips to the supermarket – you name it she has worn a dressing-up outfit to it and to be honest I love it when she does.  I love the innocence and the fact that she does’t care what people think just as long as she is happy and she thinks she looks pretty.  I would love her to stay that way forever but I fear that won’t be the case.  Sorry, going a bit off course here – I think that is a discussion for another day!!

The Tangled Ever After Rapunzel Wedding Collection is some of the best products I have ever seen from Disney.  The fantastic fabrics and attention to detail is amazing.  Whatever you choose from the Tangled Ever After range is sure to be a huge success with your own Princess.

Printable Party Games – Great Ideas To Keep Your Guests Amused

How Easy Is It To Use Printable Party Games?

An important part of any party is the Party Games.  Kids love games, especially if they can win a prize!  However, coming up with new/different games year on year can be a little difficult.  I guess there is only so may times you can play pass the parcel, no matter how popular it is!

With this in mind I have found a great site the has loads of fantastic printable party games, PrintableGamesAtoZ.com.  You can order the games at home, print them out – as many copies as you like, and be ready for your party in just a few minutes.

They have a huge range of themes ad games for you to choose from too. A few of my favourites are they Pirate games which will be a fantastic addition to a Pirate themed party such at the Pirates of the Caribbean 4 party supplies I discussed in an earlier post.

Pin the Eye Patch on the Pirate

The rules for this came a the same as pin the tail on the donkey. Place some cello tape on each end on the eye patch.  Cover the first player’s eyes with the blindfold.  Spin the player wearing the blindfold around three times.

The player has to try and pin(stick in this case!) the eye patch on the pirate.  Write the players name where they stick the eye patch, the remove the patch and get the next player ready.  The person who gets their eye patch in the correct place, or as near to is the winner.

Calling All Pirates Scavenger Hunt

Place the picture cut-outs around the party venue beforehand. Give players a flashlight, then turn out the lights. After 5-10 minutes, turn the lights back on and count who has the most pictures.

Pirate Picture Bingo

Call out the name of the picture, or show players the picture so they can find the matching picture on their bingo card. Use candies, pennies, or the chips/markers provided to mark squares.

What Are Ye Thinkin’ Captain?

Select a player to be the official Answer Key – i.e. the ‘Captain’.  The game sheet lists one word and players compete to fill in the rest of the phrase by “mind reading” and correctly guessing the answer of the ‘Captain’.  At the same time, the ‘Captain’ is doing the same with the “Answer Key”.

Shiver Me Timbers Pirate Search

Players search for pirate related words hidden in the word search puzzle. When 5 minutes are up, have players stop and each count how many words they have found.

The word search is one of my favourite games.  I know my kids will love it.  They already love word searches so one is a party setting with a prize at the end of it is sure to go do well!

There is a huge selection of games to choose from.  You can search for individual games, suitable games for different age ranges or different themes such as animals, luau, sweet shop, toys etc.

What Is The Disney Animators’ Collection?

For all of you avid Disney fans out there I have some great news.  Disney has just released in fantastic Disney Animators’ Collection.

This is a collection of the Disney Princesses when they were toddlers.  They are super cute and so adorable.

  • Rapunzel
  • Belle
  • Ariel
  • Pocahontas
  • Snow White
  • Aurora
  • Cinderella
  • Jasmine
  • Mulan
  • Tiana.

Each doll is wearing a version of their iconic dress so they are easily recognisable.  They stand around 16 inches in height so will be perfect for little Princesses to carry around.

The dolls have been created under the guidance of two of Walt Disney Animation Studio’s more renowned artists, Mark Henn and Glen Keane.  Together they have been responsible for creating many of the modern day Princesses from Ariel to Rapunzel for the original animation films.

These dolls are fantastic in that they are not only a collectors items but they are also a beautiful toy for children to enjoy and play with.  I know my little girl will love quite a few of these and I  sure which ever one (or maybe two!) she gets she will no doubt carry everywhere with her.

Disney Princess Designer Collection – Update

Disney Princess Designer CollectionThe Disney Princess Designer Collection has proved to be a huge success.  So much so that the dolls are selling out almost immediately. This is the reason  I have been unable to let you know about the last two releases as they sold out both in-store and online straight away.  Understandably this has resulted in many fans complaining to Disney, so on Friday Disney issued a statement about the release of the rest of the Disney Princess Designer Collection.

Here is a copy if the statement issued by Disney:

“As you may be aware, our new limited edition Disney Princess Designer Doll Collection has generated a good deal of excitement.  While many of you love the new dolls, you have also expressed frustration in securing your favorite Princess, and brought to our attention ways we could make the process fair for all Guests.  We want you to know that we read your comments on Facebook, saw your Tweets, and our Cast Members have told us what they heard from our Guests who visited our Stores.

Quantities of these dolls are very limited, and we realize that not everyone will be able to get the doll of their choice even with a new process in place. Our aim is to increase the chances of as many of our Guests as possible to obtain the dolls that they are seeking. Therefore we have updated our release plans as follows:

  • We will now release for purchase all 5 remaining Disney Princess Designer Dolls: Tiana, Jasmine, Rapunzel, Sleeping Beauty and Pocahontas on one date in Stores on 10/17/11.
  • We will then have a Disneystore.com release of all 5 Disney Princess Designer Dolls: Tiana, Jasmine, Rapunzel, Sleeping Beauty and Pocahontas, the following day on 10/18/11, at a time to be determined – the time will be released here, on the Buzz, continue to check back for updates.
  • We will be limiting the purchase to one doll per Princess, per Purchasing Guest. This limit applies both in-store and at Disneystore.com. NOTE: Purchasing Guests are Guests present at Store age 17 and older.
  • We will implement a line queue and ticketing procedure (first come, first served) in Stores on the release date and the dolls will be sold at store opening.
  • Guests that are not successful in obtaining the Princess Doll of their choice at the Stores will be able to try on 10/18/11 at Disneystore.com.

So there you have it.  The remaining set of dolls will be released on 18th October, online.  As soon as the details are available I will let you know, but as you have seen with the other Disney Princess Designer Dolls you will have to act fast to get your hands on them!

Disney Designer Princess Doll – Third Doll Released

Disney Designer Princess Doll – Belle Released

The next Princess has been released in the Disney Designer Princess Doll Collection.  Belle, one of Disney’s most popular Princesses and an eagerly anticipated addition to the Designer Princess Doll Collection.

I must say, my own personal opinion is that Belle looks fantastic.  The colour and style of her dress are amazing and she looks so beautiful, I can really see why so many people were waiting for Belle to be released.

As with both the previous Designer Princess Dolls, Cinderella and Ariel, Belle has been brought to life by the Disney artists and they have done a fantastic job.

Disney Designer Princess Bell BollBelle has the same beautiful, dramatic make-up as the other two dolls, and her beautiful chestnut her is styled in a fancy undo.  She has lovely gold coloured rose earrings which are set off beautifully by her hair.

Her dress is probably the most captivating part of the design.  A lovely golden yellow, it is strapless with rhinestone detailing on the bodice and the skirt is a huge bouquet of dramatic ruffled roses.  I was not too sure about the skirt when I first saw the doll but over time it has really grown on me and I think it adds a certain wow factor to the doll.

To complete the looks she wears gold coloured gloves again with rhinestone detailing. And in her hand she holds a single red rose.

Just looking on the Disney Store site it has been incredible to see the comments of people who have purchased Belle.  Many have queued outside of stores since early morning to make sure they can get their hands on this beautiful too.

Here are a few of their comments:-

“This doll combines the magic of Disney with the imagination of fashion and conjures up a masterpiece.”

As you can see all of these comments are fantastic.

My only advice to you would be if you wanted to purchase a Disney Designer Princess Belle Doll you need to do it fast, as with all the other dolls this is a limited edition and as you can see it is selling fast.

If you are luck enough to purchase one of these dolls you can consider yourself very lucky as the Disney Designer Princess Dolls are a wonderful collection that will last a lifetime.
