What Do You Need For A Kids Pirate Party?
Thinking of arranging a Pirate themed party for your son or daughter’s birthday? This is a theme you can have loads of fun with – trust me.
Kids love pirates and with the help of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies this has only increased the popularity of pirates, the main one being of course Captain Jack Sparrow.
You can get some fantastic Pirates of the Caribbean party supplies. Just take a look here to find what Pirates of the Caribbean party supplies are available.
But if you are wanting to organise a kids pirate party of your own then you have come to the right place. I have had a look around a come up with some amazing pirate party supplies that I think you will love.
Sending out the party invitations is one of your first jobs and your guests are going to love these Pirate Party Invitations In A Bottle. I don’t know about you but I think these look amazing! Just imagine when your son/daughter gives these invitations out, everyone will want to come to the party.
Contained in each plastic bottle (phew I can hear your sigh of relief, yes it is plastic! For a moment there you did wonder if I was asking you to give your child glass bottles to give to their friends weren’t you?) you will find
- To and From label to stick on your bottle
- Party Invitation Roll
- Small Bag of sand to pour into the bottle once you have placed the invitation in
- Eye-patch
- Skull and Crossbones rings
- Sticker.
The bottle opens at the bottom so you don’t have to struggle and get everything in through the top. The To and From label does need to be stuck to the bottle either with a little glue or tape.
Of course you can add anything you want to the bottle but I think this bottle and its contents are a great way to invite guests to your party.
The bottle invitations have also received some fantastic comments online. Here are just a few -
These invites were a hit! The kids loved the eye patches and rings. I like that they gave a hint of authenticity to our party. Thanks for selling such a great product!
I invited a lot of people and they loved it, everybody thought that it was the coolest invitation ever.
The invitations are for my son’s first birthday and I was soooooo excited to find these invitations at such a good price. They arrived very quickly and were precious! I recommend them to EVERYONE interested!
But really this is just the start. You can really let your imaginations run wild when deciding on your decorations and tableware for the party.
I love this Pirate Door Cover. There will be no mistaking where the party is happening with this at the entrance to your venue. It will make a great photo backdrop for all your party pictures and afterwards it will make a great decoration for the birthday boy/girl’s bedroom.
Other fantastic decorations include a great Pirate Table Runner which is black with a while skull and crossbones motif and says ‘Beware of Pirates’. This will look great to decorate your tables and the other tableware available will also look fantastic. You can get fantastic goblets and cups, treasure chest centrepieces, pirate shirt shaped plates and loads more.
Entertaining Your Party Guests
Party games are a must for any party. Your guests might um and argh (get it argh – sorry) but everyone enjoys party games, no matter how old they are.
Pin the Eye-patch On The Pirate is a great fun game. The player who gets their eye-patch closest wins a prize. Maybe some gold coins.
Pirate Bean Bag Toss Game is another favourite. Get points for throwing your bean bag through various holes in the pirate ship. The player with the most points wins. You can make it easier or harder by getting guests to stand nearer or further away from the pirate ship when throwing their bean bag. This makes this game great for all ages, young or old. Just watch as everyone becomes super competitive.
Treasure Hunt is another favourite. You can buy or create your own Treasure Map and give your guests a copy and let them go hunting for their treasure. This is also great for you as while the kids are busy hunting you can have five minutes rest!
Costumes are always are great success at parties. My kids love any excuse to dress-up so they always love being invited to fancy dress parties. Get the kids to dress up and give a prize for the best costume.
Last but not least is the Piñata. I love this part of any party. I found three fantastic pinata’s for you, just take a look at the pictures below.
You have the Pirate Man Piñata, the Pirate Ship Piñata and the Treasure Chest.
Just be aware that although the Treasure Chest looks large and it gets a lot of good comments, some comments on the site have said when they received the chest it was not as big as they thought. So if you have a lot of guests you may need to bear that in mind.
Don’t Forget The Kids Pirate Party Boxes
With a pirate themed party the party box is definitely an area you can go wild with. How about sending your guests home with an actual Treasure Chest. The Wood Pirate Treasure Chests are great as are the Princess Treasure Chests for those girl pirates in your party. You can fill them will all manner of pirates treasures. Everything from Pirate Sword Pens, Pirate Bounce Balls and Rinds, Pirate Bendables, Pirate Bomb Slime, Skull Poppers, Necklaces, Headscarfs, Bubble Bottles, Masks etc, etc. The list is endless and is only limited by your imagination and possibly your bank balance!
I had great fun looking into this theme and finding out all the things you can get. If you do have a kids pirate party be sure to let me know, maybe even send a picture. I would love to hear from you.
I think I might even try and persuade one of my kids to have a pirate themed party.
